Professing Faith: ‘Iliad’ the earliest war story of European history

With the hideous thunder of war breaking out in Europe once again, perhaps it is time to return to the earliest war story of European history, the “Iliad” of Homer. The classic poem is both a celebration of war and a condemnation of it.
