Pomona’s 1st Mexican American woman postmaster ready to ‘hit the ground running’

Sonia Telles-Simpson made history this month accepting a job as postmaster in Pomona, becoming the first Mexican American woman to hold the title in the city. At a ceremony Aug. 6, Simpson, 51, was sworn in as the city’s 14th postmaster.
