Man walking on 210 Freeway in Highland is fatally struck; driver arrested

The collision happened at about 1:20 a.m. in the westbound lanes, east of Highland Avenue. A 28-year-old San Bernardino resident was driving a 2016 Lexus at about 70 mph when he struck the pedestrian, who was in a traffic lane, the CHP said. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrian’s name has not been publicly announced.
